extra credit

Let me know what you think about the poem I am submitting for for extra credit. I dont have a title for it yet but I better think of one soon since it's due tomorrow.

I see the world endlessly
Knowing my handsome Terry will always be in society
I know my bounds and abundance limit
I acquire silence but my love withstands it
Through all the down falls in the vicinity, he shows no sympathy
Ambition countinuously fill his paths with successful aftermath
Energy he still has with the courage to make life last
In no way did I feel horrified with the firm grasp of his hand at my side
He has been my hero since the first time I saw his handsome face
Dreadfully as his concluding stages come closer
We resolve the secrets at one time withheld knowing that
His love for me was always clearly spelled
Every moment of our time spent together just makes me think
In my memory he'll live forever
I learned so many lessons and skillful tasks
I have yet numerous questions to skill ask
Never may the time come, where I'm drenched in sorrow
Painstaking situations will decide tomorrow
Once he lay six feet down, a smile will never pass my frown
Black tearful misses will rupture my heart to pieces
Suicidal thoughts become all recent wishes
Your spirit in my heart will never be released
Even though your soul to the world is now deceased
Reality stands through reminiscence , but now ignorance just struck me,
As heaven stands before him, my handsome Terry has just left me!

well... what do you think??

are charter schools smarter schools?

I am just starting to write my second essay, which I chose to write about charter schools. I wasn't quite sure what my stance would be but I knew I wanted to show just how good some charter schools are. I had the opportunity to interview my sons' principal this past week, I was blown away with just how much work goes into starting up a new charter school. I was really impressed with just how dedicated the administration was to helping the students succeed in school and life. I was always against charter schools but the more that I research the school my boys attend and also the surrounding school districts, I would much rather send my boys to their charter school. Everyone has different experiences with charter schools, what's yours?

learning to speak English...easier said then done!

Have you ever realized how many native English speakers have trouble with grammar and pronunciation...think about it! So why do most Americans frown upon "those" who don't speak proper English, when we ourselves don't speak it correctly either??

I was caught in the oddest situation last week. I can barely speak a complete sentence in Spanish but I found myself having to communicate with a person who could barely speak English. Oddly enough, we both had the patience to try to understand eachother. We had a nice little chat about a stray dog who had 6 puppies in her backyard...I think that is what we were talking about anyway. I have really got to learn to not only understand Spanish but also speak Spanish better.
